Yes, I sold a painting :O This one, here:
It did look better in real life I think... There was more detail, but it certainly isn't my, err, best painting aha, especially since I sneezed while holding a bottle of blue ink, resulting in mass splash. But anyway! I didn't sell it for much really since it didn't take too long, and I felt guilty =) Thank you for buying, by the way, sir.

Just a quick biro sketch, I was thinking about Rufio from Hook at the time (this guy) ..... but this of course seems to be a female version :) I had to scribble out the ear sadly as I got annoyed at its minimal size :)

1. Just a first sketch with Corel Painter Essentials (it came in the package). I had no idea what I was doing, using some random Oil Paintbrush and making swishy strokes, but it was pretty fun. And what emerged was a sort of skydoll-esque lady.
2. Troll sketch - After a couple of hours playing with Painter I found the layers toolbar thing, and finally could paint stuff on top, under, etc. Huurrrraah! So I quickly sketched out a troll (sort of troll-orc hybrid it seems) in order to play with painting colour and so on.
3. I started a proper painting, finally. This must be part of the 6th drawing so far. And painting it actually took AGES despite it perhaps not appearing to be so meticulous. I cropped the whole image down to just the face because it's not finished, and I just realised a major error in the anatomy (impossible pose ><) which I probably can't correct without erasing 60% of the painting.
Anyway, conclusion: I like the tablet, a lot.

So, I sold stuff and managed to finally order myself a drawing tablet today, so I guess this means that I'll be using this blog mainly to post of my digital drawing escapades. And I'd like to also try Oekaki again. Anyway, hopefully soon I'll dish out some real drawing, finally. When my tablet arrives.
